Key Lessons in Cross-Cultural Understanding 
from a Mediator's Perspective

The MCWP and Collaborative Law Association of Southwestern Pennsylvania will be hosting an interactive training session the day after this year's Kaplan Lecture.    

​

This five-hour workshop will focus on:

 

• Understanding the fundamental theories of cross-cultural dynamics and learning about their role in shaping individual interactions and decision-making

• Recognizing that everyone possesses unique cultural attributes and learning how an individuals' values and cross-cultural thinking impacts conflict

• Better understanding of impartiality from a Mediator's perspective and examining the role that conflict resolvers can play in achieving cross-cultural empathy and resolution 

• Understanding the ethical issues inherent in individual interactions and decision-making

CLE:  This program has been submitted to the PA CLE Board for 3 hours of Substantive credit and 2 hours of Ethics credit
